I started working in the electrical industry at my dad’s company 20 years ago. Like most first year apprentices, I fell through my fair share of ceilings and didn’t always put tools back where they were supposed to go.
The majority of my electrical apprenticeship was completed in Sydney and involved mostly residential work. It was a great opportunity to get an understanding of how to carry out different tasks as well as getting experience with a variety of products and clients.
Prior to starting my own company I worked on commercial jobs in London and completed a job as an electrical foreman in Sydney.
I love the work that I do. Might be crawling under a house or getting through a tight roof space but I have strangely found a way to enjoy it. I do have fantastic customers and I honestly couldn’t be happier to have them. They play an enormous part in making my job enjoyable.
Away from work, I enjoy medium distance running. I am part of the Kirribilli Runners group that meets every Monday and Thursday nights for a run. Really great group of people. On the weekends I enjoy watching the Bears at North Sydney Oval.
